Our Story

At Great Horse Peroducts, we are a horse mad family living in East Sussex, and love everything to do with our equine best friends, from enjoying spending time in their company through to ensuring that they have maximum comfort and quality of life.

Over the years, we’ve experienced conditions and problems that cause both horse and owners distress when trying to resolve, and this led us to begin developing the solutions to problems directly. With over 40 years of horse ownership we found products on the market just not working on our horses, so we set about researching and developing new ones.

Our vision was to create products that are as effective, simple and easy to access as possible to provide solutions for our horses when an issue presents, in the most intelligent and ethical way possible.

After nearly ten years of trialling, development and advancement, we now have a strong range of products designed to keep your horse or pony’s skin and coat in tip top condition all year round. All of our products are made here in the UK and we can deliver direct to your doorstep, including to most European countries too.

A firm favourite continues to be our all-natural shampoo bars that are pH balanced to promote good skin health and lead to a healthy looking coat. New in 2022 was a summer itch cream, developed specifically to replicate the formula used in the Queensland University research during 2020 with huge success rates of resolving those very uncomfortable skin irritation conditions.  Our Itch Mast-er spray and cream is helping hundreds of horses break the itch-rub cycle throughout the year, including during those periods when it is at its most aggressive.
